Explanation:
The Department of Public Utilities requires an agreement with a qualified contractor to establish a Comprehensive Generator Preventative Maintenance Program for the Department of Public Utilities to include semi-annual mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance services for permanent and auxiliary generators of various sizes and kilowatt ratings located at various Department locations in the City of Hollywood.
On March 31, 2015, Bid Number F-4450-15-RD was electronically advertised via BidSync in accordance with the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, Section 38.42 (A).
Nine hundred and one vendors were notified via BidSync and thirty eight vendors viewed the bid document on BidSync.
Bid Number F-4450-15-RD was opened at 3:00 P.M. on May 7, 2015, and resulted in responses from four (4) bidders:

Procurement Services Division reviewed and evaluated the four (4) bids submitted and determined that all of the bids submitted were responsive and responsible and that the lowest responsive and responsible bidder was All Power Generators located in Medley, Florida.
The Department Public Utilities staff reviewed and evaluated the four (4) bids submitted and have recommended that All Power Generators located in Medley, Florida be awarded the required services agreement.
Additionally on March 31, 2015, Bid Number F-4449-15-RD for the Department of Public Works required an agreement with a qualified contractor to establish a Comprehensive Generator Preventative Maintenance Program for the Department of Public Works to include semi-annual mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance services for permanent and auxiliary generators of various sizes and kilowatt ratings located at various Public Works Department locations in the City of Hollywood.
Bid Number F-4449-15-RD was electronically advertised via BidSync in accordance with the City’s Purchasing Ordinance, Section 38.42 (A) which was also opened at 3:00 P.M. on May 7, 2015, and resulted in responses from six (6) bidders in which All Power Generators located in Medley, Florida was determined to be the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
On June 10, 2015 the Director of Procurement Services Division awarded the issuance of blanket purchase order number B002722 to All Power Generators in estimated annual amount of $19,020.00 for Generator Preventative Maintenance & Repair Services for Public Works.
The Director of Public Utilities and the Director of Procurement Services Division recommend that the City Commission approve the issuance of the attached Blanket Purchase Order agreement for Generator Preventative Maintenance & Repair Services for Public Utilities to All Power Generators located in Medley, FL. in an estimated annual amount of $ 54,765.00.
The term for services is for an initial two (2) year period with the right to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods subject to vendor(s) acceptance, satisfactory performance and determination that renewal will be in the best interest of the City.
Award is subject to the City’s receipt and approval of all insurance certificates required by the City’s Risk Manager, and indemnity to the City.
Funding for the attached Blanket Purchase Order has been provided for in the fiscal year 2015 budget in multiple Account Numbers and will be budgeted in subsequent fiscal years.
