Explanation:
The Department of Financial Services, Procurement Services Division, requires a vendor to provide a Purchasing Card Program to make small dollar purchases of goods and services.

The Purchasing Card Program is used by City staff when making small dollar purchases of goods and services, and it enhances productivity, reduces paperwork, improves controls and reduces overall costs associated with small dollar purchasing.

On January 21, 1998, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution Number R-98-16, which authorized a Purchasing Card Program to Nations Bank, now known as Bank of America.

Over the years, the City's purchasing Card program has operated through Bank of America and their services have been satisfactory.

In August 2009, Hillsborough County, FL awarded RFP No. S-001-09-JSW, entitled Purchasing Card Program Services to Bank of America, N.A.

Bank of America has agreed to provide their Purchasing Card Program Services to the City of Hollywood via the Hillsborough County agreement under the same rate structure, terms and conditions.

Section 38.40 (C)(5) of the Purchasing Ordinance allows the Director to procure, without following formal procedures, all goods and services which are subject of contracts with the state, its political subdivisions, the United States government, other governmental entities, or a corporation not for profit whose members are governmental entities, public officers, or any combination thereof, provided however, the goods and services are: (i) the subject of a price schedule negotiated by the state or the United Sta...
