Explanation:
The 2007 Water System Master Plan identified the need to replace the existing high service pumps at the Water Treatment Plant.
The City requested a proposal from Malcolm Pirnie/Arcadis U.S., Inc. to provide professional engineering services for design, permitting and bid assistance for Water Treatment Plant (WTP) High Service Pump Station Upgrade project.
Malcolm Pirnie, Inc./Arcadis U.S., Inc. and the City of Hollywood have a Professional Services Agreement for General Engineering Consulting Services for Water projects, which was approved by the City Commission via Resolution No. R-2003-002 on January 8, 2003, amended via Resolution No. R-2012-152 on June 6, 2012 and renewed via Resolution No. R-2013-110 on May 1, 2013 and has a provision for insurance and indemnification that meets the City's requirements and gives the City the right to terminate for convenience.
The Administration recommends that the City Commission authorize the appropriate City Officials to execute the attached Authorization to Proceed for Work Order No. MPI 15-02 between Malcolm Pirnie/Arcadis U.S., Inc. and the City of Hollywood, together with such nonmaterial changes as may be subsequently agreed to by the City Manager and approved as to form and legality by the City Attorney, in a lump sum amount of $253,400.00.
