Explanation:
Pursuant to Resolution No.R-2012-397 the City of Hollywood and Hollywood Art and Culture Center, Inc. (HACC), entered into a one-year agreement to provide services for the coordination and management of cultural arts programming at the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center (HCPAC) in the amount of $148,000.00 for the first year, with an option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.

The current agreement expired on September 30, 2014 and the City and HACC desire to exercise the first one-year renewal option and have mutually negotiated to make such action effective.

The HACC holds the Broward County distinction as one of six (6) Major Cultural Institutions and is the only institution with this status in Hollywood and South Broward.

The HACC has ten years of experience effectively operating the Hollywood Performing Arts Center and has extensive experience relating to cultural arts programming.

Since 1978, HACC been serving the Hollywood Community and partnering with the City of Hollywood on many art and cultural programming.

In FY2014 funding, this program provided 13 unique public programs at the Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center (HCPAC), 5 free family performances by touring organizations, 2 Junior Broadway summer performances ("Hairspray" and "Aladdin"), 5 Young Actors performances, film screenings, as well as three City and 64 School Board events.
