Staff Recommends: Approval of the attached Resolution.

Explanation:

On January 17, 2024, the City Commission approved Resolution No. R-2024-021 supporting the implementation of a Community Shuttle Program ("CSP"), establishing three service routes within the City, and authorizing the City Manager or Designee to execute all applicable program documents and agreements associated with the Broward County Community Shuttle Program.

Following the execution of the ILA, the City of Hollywood CSP became the sub-recipient of Federal Transit Administration Funds ("FTA") funds, which requires the City to adopt the attached Title VI Plan. This resolution achieves the FTA requirements.

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987 and the Florida Civil Rights Act of 1992 require that no person shall be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination or retaliation on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, family, or religious status.

Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this resolution will not fiscally impact the City as this is a proposal to adopt the attached Title VI Plan as required for FTA funding and the CSP ILA.
