Explanation:
There are approximately 359 miles of streets and 88 miles of alleys that are maintained by the City of Hollywood. The City-wide pavement study includes a pavement condition field survey of all City maintained streets and alleys. In addition to the City streets and alleys survey, the data collection will include an asset inventory of street-side features such as sidewalks, bike paths, swales, curb and gutter, pavement markings and signs, utility manholes and valves, streets and light poles, trees, speed humps and on-street parking.
This study is crucial and necessary to guide the City in planning the future Capital Improvements Programs for all the elements inventoried, and applying for future grants and funding such as the Surtax funding for pavement rehabilitation and maintenance projects.
The last pavement study was completed in 2013. For the 2020 City-Wide Pavement Study Project, an electronically advertised bid was posted in BidSync and bid results were received on April 6, 2020 from two firms as shown below.
