Second Reading
Since the June 2, 2021 City Commission (Transmittal) hearing, the Applicant has received all required approvals from the County and State.
During consideration by Broward County, the Applicant voluntarily committed to restrict 10% of the proposed dwelling units (at least 380 dwelling units) as affordable housing units at the "moderate-income" level (up to 120% of median income) for a minimum of 30 years, which shall be reflected in the Land Use text.
At this time, the Applicant is in the development phase of the proposed site and has not yet formally submitted an application to the City.

The subject site comprises approximately 112.5 gross acres situated south of Stirling Road and east of Interstate 95.
The request is to amend the Land Use element of the City's Comprehensive Plan Element to change the land use designation from General Business and Open Space and Recreation to Activity Center (Oakwood Activity Center).
