Explanation:
Pursuant to Section 420.9076, Florida Statutes, the City is required to create an Affordable Housing Advisory Committee ("AHAC"). The AHAC is assigned the task of evaluating a municipality's established procedures, policies, ordinances, land development regulations and the local Comprehensive Plan relative to the impacts on housing affordability. The statutory composition of the AHAC is one elected official and no more than eleven members with specific occupational and/or public service disciplines.
The current AHAC membership is as follows:
1. Henry Graham serving as a member who is actively engaged in the residential home building industry in connection with affordable housing; and
2. Shamir Yaron serving as a member who is actively engaged in the banking or mortgage banking industry in connection with affordable housing; and
3. The member position reserved for a representative of those areas of labor actively engaged in home building in connection with affordable housing is vacant and was not filled; and
4. The member position reserved for a member who is actively engaged as an advocate for low-income persons in connection with affordable housing is vacant due to the resignation of Bernard Isler; and
5. Mohammad Reza Ronizi serving as a member who is actively engaged as a for-profit provider of affordable housing; and
6. Robert Vargas serving as a member who is actively engaged as a not-for-profit provider of affordable housing; and
7. Adriana Bolivar serving as a member who is actively engaged as a real estate professional in connection with affordable housing; and
