Explanation:
The Police Department has been authorized as a sub-grantee to receive Urban Area Security Initiative (“UASI”) sub-grant funds in the approximate amount of $333,497.00 from the Department of Homeland Security to enhance public safety and emergency management UASI approved projects, training and equipment.
These grant dollars can fund projects in various departments, including Police, Fire Rescue, Emergency Management, and Public Works.
Fiscal Impact:
Grant Funding in the approximate amount of $333,497.00 will be appropriated in the FY 2024 Operating Budget, for the 2023 UASI Grant as detailed in Exhibit 1.
