Explanation:
At first reading, on February 2, 2022, after the presentation by Florida Atlantic University ("FAU") who introduced two new alternative map options 1D and 2D, the City Commission selected map option 1D.

Alternative 1D - Would take the census blocks from District 2 to District 3, the area from 24 Ave east on Johnson Street to Dixie Highway; Dixie Highway north to Taft Street, and Taft Street to 24 Avenue. For a population change in this of 1,498.

FAU's analysis shows that District 2, the largest district, accounts for the greatest portion of the City's projected population with 27,902 residents at 17.94%, this deviates from the theoretical average population of 7.65% or 25,919 people. District 3, the smallest district, has 15.80% of the projected population at 24,576 residents and deviates from the average by -5.18%. This represents a difference of 3,326 peop...
