Explanation:
The City of Hollywood and the Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") wish to implement the Phase IV SR A1A project by undergrounding overhead utilities, widening medians, installing new lighting, landscaping, irrigation, and hardscape, additionally the City/CRA wish to include the Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") resurfacing, restoration and rehabilitation ("RRR") scope of work on behalf of FDOT during the construction of Phase IV, undergrounding and streetscape beautification project. The project limits are from Hollywood Blvd to Hallandale Beach Blvd at the southern City limits.
State Road A1A is a major road in the City and the Florida Department of Transpiration ("FDOT") has jurisdiction over State Road A1A.
As an approval condition for the issuance of permit #2023-C-491-00003, a Construction Agreement must be approved by the City Commission.
The above-mentioned permit includes the portion to be built and funded by the CRA and the scope of work of the RRR which will be paid by the CRA and reimbursed by FDOT.
On July 25th, 2022, FDOT acknowledged receipt of the City's letter of interest to enter into a Joint Partnership Agreement ("JPA") to complete FDOT's RRR project as part of the Phase IV undergrounding of overhead utilities and streetscape beautification construction implementation.
