Explanation:
The Department of Public Works has an ongoing need for a qualified contractor to provide concrete sidewalk maintenance, repair, and construction services. The Department relies on these services to maintain safe, accessible, and code-compliant sidewalks throughout the City-repairing trip hazards, replacing deteriorated sections, and constructing new sidewalk as needed. Timely access to a contracted vendor allows the Department to address hazards promptly, reduce liability exposure, and keep pedestrian infrastructure in safe, usable condition for residents.

Rather than conducting a separate solicitation, the City proposes to utilize a contract competitively solicited by St. Lucie County under Bid No. 25-071 and awarded to Boulder Construction (Contract No. C-25-10-999). Boulder Construction has agreed to extend the same pricing, terms, and conditions to the City. Leveraging this existing competitively procured contract allows the City to secure favorable pricing, avoid the time and cost of a duplicate solicitation, and begin work without delay.

The St. Lucie County contract term runs from October 7, 2025, through October 6, 2027, with options for three one-year renewals. The City will acquire these services from July 7, 2026, through October 6, 2027, in an annual amount not to exceed $750,000.00.

Fiscal Impact:
A portion of the funding for this agreement is available in account number 116.160502.51900.583440.001247.000.000 ...
