Title
Presentation By Christopher Pratt, Fire Chief, On The Certificate Of Personal Recognition To Darien Munoz.
Body
Staff Recommends: Presentation of a Certificate of Personal Recognition
Explanation:
Darien displayed courage, hard work, and volunteerism during his recent deployment through the Emergency Volunteers Project (EVP), as he assisted Israeli Firefighters. Inspired by their global bonds of brotherhood, a group of ten (10) American Firefighters recently flew to Israel to fight ongoing fires in the South of Israel. Darien along with a group of volunteer firefighters, who hail from a variety of states, took a vacation from their jobs to help lighten the burden on Israeli fire and emergency services, which have been strained to put out blazes caused by incendiary kites, balloons and condoms launched from the Gaza Strip for the past four months. The group was mobilized by the EVP project, an organization based in Jerusalem and West Hempstead, New York, which trains and deploys international fire and rescue personnel to Israel in times of crises, in partnership with the Jewish Federation of North America.
The Fire Rescue and Beach Safety Department is honored to present a Certificate of Personal Recognition to Darien Munoz for his dedication and commitment to his brother and sister Fighters.
