Explanation:
On December 5, 2018 the General Obligation Bond Oversight Advisory Committee (“GOB Committee”) was established to monitor the implementation of the projects funded by the General Obligation Bond and make recommendations to the City Commission, in consultation with City staff.
The GOB Committee shall consist of a total of 15 members with each member serving a three year term. Additionally, all members shall be residents and no more than three members may be from each district.
The 15 members shall comprise eight members representing neighborhoods and civic associations, with at least one member representing each of the six Commission districts and two at-large members, and seven members representing Architect, Engineer, Construction Industry, Sports League/Recreation, Chamber of Commerce, Finance Industry and Student.
On May 21, 2019 the City Commission appointed members to the GOB Committee. Since no student applications were received, the category of Student remained a vacant, not filled position.
Residents have submitted applications in the category of Student and are qualified.
