Title
A Resolution Of The City Commission Of The City Of Hollywood, Florida, To Reduce The Number Of Members For The Green Team Advisory Committee From 15 To 12 Members And Appoint Two New Members To The Committee.
Body
Staff Recommends: Approval of the Attached Resolution.
Explanation:
Seeking the approval of the City Commission to reduce the Green Team Advisory Committee’s membership from fifteen to twelve members. The Green Team has maintained a committed group of constantly changing core members since its inception in 2006. These members, who vary year to year as terms end and new members are appointed, consistently attend meetings and participate in activities. The size of the membership means that occasionally seats become vacant as less committed members resign or are removed, creating a challenge for remaining members to reach quorum and to be able to take votes. By reducing the committee size to twelve members it will ensure that appointment to the Green Team is competitive and that a quorum will consistently be reached at meetings for the purpose of taking votes.
