Explanation:
On October 4, 2024, Manuela Micucci (“Claimant”) filed a civil action against the City seeking damages arising out of an automobile accident involving a City-Owned vehicle operated by a City employee that occurred on August 6, 2023. The City Attorney and Claimant’s attorney have negotiated a settlement in the amount of $100,000.00.
If this settlement is approved by the City Commission, the monies will be paid from the City’s self-insurance fund.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this settlement is available in the City’s self-insurance fund.
