Staff Recommends:  Approval of the attached Resolution.

 

 

Explanation:

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts (“PRCA”) was awarded the Fish Florida Grant Program for the 2024 Hollywood Kids Fishing Tournament event tentatively scheduled for November 2024 in the amount of $2,500.00 and 40 rods and reel combos with tackle kits.  The grant does not require matching funds.

 

The Director of PRCA recommends the City Commission authorize appropriate City officials to accept the Fish Florida Grant Program funds in the amount of $2,500.00 plus fishing equipment.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

Grant funding in the amount of $2,500.00 will be appropriated in the FY 2025 Operating Budget for the Fish Florida Grant Program as detailed in Exhibit 1, subject to approval of this resolution.
