Explanation:

The historic Hammerstein House was built in 1935 and donated to the City in 1987. The Hollywood Historical Society provides free public tours of this historic landmark which is maintained by the Department of Public Works.

 

The Department of Public Works would like to apply for and receive one to one matching grant funds through the State of Florida, Department of State Division of Historical Resources 2025 Special Category Grant Program to restore and preserve the exterior of this historic house.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

If awarded, grant match funding in an amount not to exceed $500,000.00 will be requested in a future Capital Improvement Plan subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission.
