Explanation:
On April 9, 2024, Phillip Onori (“Claimant”) filed a civil action against the City seeking damages arising out of an automobile accident involving a City-owned police vehicle that occurred on August 31, 2022. The City Attorney and Claimant’s attorney have negotiated a settlement in the amount of $75,000.00.
If this settlement is approved by the City Commission, the monies will be paid from the City’s Self-Insurance Fund.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this settlement is available in the City’s Self-Insurance Fund.
