Explanation:

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts (“PRCA”) determined the need for additional concerts at ArtsPark; and the Florida Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture 2026-2027 General Program Support (“DAC-GPS”) grant funds general program activities taking placing within the grant period of July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. The DAC-GPS grant seeks $75,000.00 for the ArtsPark Concert Series.

The grant requires a 1:1 match, which will be funded from the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department’s Special Events budget.

Fiscal Impact:

If approved, grant funding in the amount of $75,000.00 will be appropriated in the FY 2026 Operating Budget for the General Program Support Grant as detailed in Exhibit 1.

Funding for the City’s required 1:1 grant match will be provided in-kind utilizing the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department’s Special Events budget.
