Explanation:
In 2023, the City Commission approved R-2023-198 authorizing City officials to execute an agreement with Kimley Horn and Associates, Inc., to update the City's Comprehensive Plan ("Plan") in an amount not to exceed $500,000. In July 2024, the Agreement was amended by Change Order to increase the contract amount to $550,000 to include a more robust community-wide kick-off and translation services to better meet the needs of the community. The existing Agreement expires on September 30, 2025.
The proposed amendment to the contract does not change the executed contract amount, rather is solely intended to extend the expiry date by one year, to September 30, 2026, to allow for approval by City Commission, and required County and State Agencies.
A draft Plan is slated to be released in September followed by two Community Events with the Planning and Development considering the Plan by November.

Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this resolution will not fiscally impact the City as this is a proposal for a contract time extension for the City's Comprehensive Plan.
