Explanation:
On September 1, 2021, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2021-208, authorizing the appropriate City officials to execute Continuing Services Agreements with each of the highest-ranked firms for various engineering services, one of the firms being Craven, Thompson & Associates, Inc. ("Craven").

The Department of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts ("PRCA") procured Craven to provide a long-term master plan for the Mara Berman Giulianti Park. On March 5, 2021, Craven completed the conceptual master plan for the park, which included several new features, including a new playground, updated basketball court, refurbished restrooms, resurfaced pathways, new police memorial, a Little Free Library and a new splash pad. PRCA completed the construction of all features of the master plan except for the construction of the new splash pad.

The Department of Design and Construction Management negotiated a project scope for design, engineering, and permitting services and fee with Craven for the new splash pad in the amount not to exceed $91,150.00, that staff has determined to be fair and reasonable and in accordance with industry standards.

Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this project was included in the amended FY 2024 Capital Improvement Plan and is available in account number 334.179901.57200.564531.001390.000.000.
