Explanation:

The American Public Works Association has declared May 17-23, 2026, as National Public Works Week.  Every year since 1960, Public Works professionals are recognized for their vital efforts during this time.  This year’s theme is “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community,” reflects the deep commitment of Public Works employees in serving residents with integrity, reliability, and pride.  It emphasizes that the strength of Public Works lies not only in infrastructure and operations, but in the relationships built with the community they serve.

This year's proclamation will be accepted by the Public Works Director, Joseph S. Kroll, and Public Works staff members.

Fiscal Impact:

Approval of this proclamation will not fiscally impact the City.
