Explanation:
In a Special Election held on March 12, 2019, voters of the City approved a variety of projects to be funded by a General Obligation Bond, including the New Police Headquarters. The New Police Headquarters project is now under construction, with substantial completion scheduled for the second quarter of 2026. At that time, the building will be substantially complete, and Police Department staff can begin moving into the facility.
The Police Department requires the services of moving professionals to relocate staff computer equipment, files and personal items, equipment, and some furniture and storage items from the existing Police Headquarters building and other offsite locations to the New Police Headquarters building. In order to ensure that the most qualified moving company is selected, a Request for Qualifications was prepared.
On December 3, 2025, Request for Qualification Number RFQ-367-26-JJ ("RFQ") was electronically advertised on OpenGov.com to solicit moving services for the New Police Headquarters project, in accordance with Section 38.43(A) of the Procurement Code.
On January 15, 2026, RFQ-367-26-JJ was closed; proposals were received from the following six firms:
1. All Things Moving & Storage Solutions LLC
2. Coleman Worldwide Moving, LLC
3. 1800Packouts of South Miami
4. Moving Solutions Experts
5. Emprise Partners LLC
6. Sanford 7 Enterprise LLC
