Staff Recommends:  Approval of the attached resolution.
 
Explanation:
In September, 2013, the Police Department executed a Law Enforcement Mutual Aid Agreement for Traffic Enforcement, pursuant to Section 23.1225(1)(2), Florida Statutes, which is expiring.  
 
The agreement expressly provides for traffic enforcement activities relating to civil traffic offenses across jurisdictional boundaries in certain defined circumstances within Broward County for the purpose of protecting the public peace and safety and preserving the lives and property of the citizens of each respective governmental entity.
 
The proposed Agreement is for a five year term, however, the City has the option of terminating during this time period
