Explanation:
The Department of Public Utilities ("Department") desires to purchase a new 52,000-pound capacity Kenworth Dump Truck. This heavy-duty vehicle will significantly enhance the Department's ability to efficiently perform emergency roadway repairs, stormwater upgrades, and debris removal. This larger truck allows for fewer trips, minimizing fuel costs. Its robust capacity and dependability will also help ensure timely and effective support for Citywide projects and disaster recovery efforts. This acquisition reinforces the City's ongoing commitment to providing high-quality public services and maintaining resilient infrastructure.

The desired dump truck was obtained through a competitive bidding process conducted by the Florida Sheriffs Association on May 5, 2023, which resulted in the execution of the Cooperative Purchase Agreement awarded to All Roads Kenworth, LLC ("Kenworth") under Contract FSA23-EQU21: Equipment (FSA23).

The current term of FSA23 is from October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2025, and Kenworth has agreed to extend to the City the same pricing, terms, and conditions as those set forth in FSA23.

The Department Director recommends that the City Commission approve and authorize the Issuance of a Purchase Order to Kenworth for a new Dump Truck in an amount up to $213,251.00.

Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this purchase is available in the FY 2025 Operating Budget in Account Number 442.400201.53600.564531.000000.000.000. No new staff will be needed as...
