Explanation:

The Public Works Department is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (“HVAC”) systems across the City’s 91 facilities.

On August 27, 2025, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. R-2025-287, approving a Blanket Purchase Agreement (“BPA”) with S&R Engineering Group, LLC d/b/a Air Changes Mechanical (“Air Changes”) for HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair services. The BPA authorized expenditures up to $750,000.00 for the period of October 1, 2025, through June 19, 2026, with an option for one additional one-year renewal period.

The Department of Public Works seeks approval to exercise the one-year renewal option for BPA PA601133. The renewal would authorize expenditures up to $750,000.00 for the period of June 20, 2026, through June 19, 2027.

Staff recommends that the City Commission approve the one-year renewal of BPA PA601133 with Air Changes in an amount up to $750,000.00 for the period of June 20, 2026, through June 19, 2027.

Fiscal Impact:

A portion of the funding for the renewal of the BPA is available in the FY 2026 Operating Budget in account number 001.500301.51900.531170.000000.000.000 and will be budgeted in the subsequent fiscal year’s operating budget subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission.
