Explanation:
The City of Hollywood has jurisdiction over Moffet Street, Wiley Street, Washington Street, Van Buren Street, Polk Street, Johnson Street, and Harding Street, as part of the City's roadway system from 100 feet east of SR 5/US-1 to 100 feet west of SR 5/US-1; and pursuant to Sections 339.07, 339.08 and 339.12, Florida Statutes and Federal funding provisions, the Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT') is authorized to undertake projects within the City's geographical limits and the City agrees to have these improvements constructed within its rights-of-way.

FDOT has undertaken and obtained approval from the applicable Federal agencies for participation funding of the proposed project for lighting improvements on certain designated City rights-of-way and the City will be responsible for additional project costs that are determined to be Federal Aid Non-Participating. In accordance with Title 23, U.S. Code, Section 116 and Federal Highway Administration regulations an agreement between FDOT and the City is required; pursuant to the attached Highway Maintenance Memorandum of Agreement, FDOT will be responsible for constructing certain improvements more particularly described as Financial Project ID 441582-1 and 439991-1, which involves lighting modifications over Moffet Street, Wiley Street, Washington Street, Van Buren Street, Polk Street, Johnson Street, and Harding Street and upon completion the City will be responsible for maintenance of the project; and
