Explanation:
On April 8, 2026, the Community Development Advisory Board (“CDAB”) met to review and evaluate the Proposed Annual Action Plan and projected use of funds for HUD Federal Program Year 2026/2027 and forwarded a recommendation of approval to the City Commission.

On July 7, 2026, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2026-260, which approved the 2026/2027 Annual Action Plan that includes the eligible activities listed below for receipt of Community Development Block Grant (“CDBG”) funds. In accordance with the City’s citizen participation process approved by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the City Commission has final authority to approve the CDAB’s recommendations and execution of Agreements with the following sub-recipients.

Community Enhancement Collaboration, Inc. for the Feeding Seniors Program in an amount not to exceed $46,000.00.

Dr. Stanley and Pearl Goodman JFS of Broward County, Inc. for the Program in an amount not to exceed $36,000.00.

Liberia Economic and Social Development, Inc. for the LES Food Pantry Program in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00.

Russell Life Skills and Reading Foundation, Inc. for the Russell Reading Program-City of Hollywood in an amount not to exceed $35,000.00.

Second Chance Society, Inc. for the Hand-Up Program in an amount not to exceed $15,000.00.

Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc. for the Domestic Violence Services for Hollywood Residents in an amount not to exceed $28,000.00.
