Staff Recommends:  Approval of the attached Ordinance.

 

 

Explanation:

 

SECOND READING:

The proposed Ordinance changed the location of the Hollywood Dog Beach to between Life Guard Tower #4 (Charleston Street) and Life Guard Tower #3 (Meade Street).

 

Upon Second Reading, it was the Commissioners desire to have the current location to remain between Custer Street and Perishing Street.

 

The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department would like to remove the days of access and the requirement for a pass and fees at the Dog Beach.

 

Amending Section 99.05(S) will allow access to the Dog Beach at all times.

 

 

FIRST READING:

The Hollywood Dog Beach is located at between Custer Street and Pershing Street on Hollywood Beach.

 

The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department would like to remove the days of access and the requirement for a pass and fees at the Dog Beach.

 

Amending Section 99.05(S) will allow access to the Dog Beach at all times.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

Approval of this Ordinance will not fiscally impact the City.
