Explanation:
The JCC Maccabi Games® are an Olympic‐style sporting competition held each summer in North America and is the largest organized sports program for Jewish teenagers throughout the world. The JCC Maccabi access games is a unique program for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This year, the JCC Maccabi Games® & Access will bring nearly 2,000 athletes from around the world to Broward County plus 300 local athletes, 100 access athletes, 400 coaches, 1500 volunteers, 600 visiting families, 400 local host families and as many as 10,000+ spectators.
The proclamation will be accepted by Debby Eisinger, Executive Director, 2023 JCC Maccabi Games® & ACCESS.
The proclamation will be presented at the July 5, 2023, City Commission Meeting.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this Proclamation will not fiscally impact the City.
