Staff Recommends: Approval of the attached Resolution.

 

 

Explanation:

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts (“PRCA”) and Department of Design and Construction Management (“DCM”) are seeking funding for the Sunset Park project.

 

PRCA and DCM desire to apply for the upcoming State of Florida, Division of Arts and Culture Cultural Facilities Program grant in the amount of $500,000.00.  The Cultural Facilities Program grant requires a two-to-one match equivalent to $1,000,000.00 from the grant recipient.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

If approved, grant funding in the amount of $500,000.00 will be appropriated in the FY25 Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Plan for this project.

 

Funding for the City’s proposed grant match of $1,000,000.00 will be budgeted in a future Capital Improvement Plan subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission.
