Explanation:
Relay for Life has become the American Cancer Society's signature event and allows participants to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and support the American Cancer Society's mission of fighting back against the disease that is the 2nd leading cause of death in the United States. The American Cancer Society will hold more than 5,000 Relay For Life events including 25 in Broward County this year. These efforts help fund ground-breaking research, provide up-to-date cancer information, advocate for all people to have access to screening and treatment, and provide programs and services to improve the quality of life for people facing cancer.
