Explanation:
All existing consulting engineering contracts related to infrastructure (water, wewer, reuse, and stormwater) projects were executed in October 2017. These contracts were renewed for a two-year term in 2021 and will expire in October 2023. The Department of Public Utilities ("Department") needs to retain professional engineering consulting firms to address the necessary capital projects in an expeditious and effective manner.
The Department and Office of Procurement Services followed the procedures established in the Florida Statue 287.055, Consultants' Competitive Negotiation Act ("CCNA"), and the City's Procurement Ordinance to advertise statements of qualifications for professional consulting engineering services for infrastructure projects. On February 28, 2023, the City of Hollywood, Office of Procurement Services received statements of qualification packages from nineteen consulting engineering firms for professional services related to infrastructure projects.
The nineteen engineering companies that submitted statements of qualifications were:
