Explanation:

National Gun Violence Awareness Day was established to honor and remember all victims and survivors of gun violence, and to declare that we as a country must do more to reduce gun violence.

Moms Demand Action is a national organization that annually sponsor a National Gun Violence Awareness Day campaign in cities and towns throughout the United States on the first Friday of June.

The Proclamation will be accepted by:  Susan El Sheikh, Moms Demand Action and Debra Hixon, School Board Member, Countywide At-Large, Seat 9.

The Proclamation will be presented at the June 1, 2022, City Commission Meeting.

Fiscal Impact:

Approval of this Presentation will not fiscally impact the City.
