Explanation:
The Sister Cities Advisory Committee (“Committee”) was established and approved by Resolution No. R-2023-319, on October 18, 2023, to promote the “Sister City” concept as envisioned by the President of the United States in 1956.
The Committee shall consist of five members chosen from the community by a majority vote of the City Commission. Members of the Committee shall have an interest in promoting the Sister Cities Program in the City of Hollywood; all members of the Committee shall have a strong background in travel or cultural exchange, if possible; four members of the Committee shall be selected at-large, and one member of the Committee shall be a member of the Greater Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this resolution will not fiscally impact the City.
