Explanation:

On September 4, 2019, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2019-258, approving an Agreement with The Cormac Group for federal lobbyist services. The Agreement provided for an initial three-year period at an annual amount of $72,000.00, with options to renew for two additional one-year periods. The Cormac Group has requested an increase of $1,500 per month for a total monthly amount of $7,500.00 which equates to an annual amount of $90,000.00.

The City Manager’s Office has found The Cormac Group to be responsive and their consulting and advisory services at the federal level valuable. Of note, The Cormac Group was an instrumental partner in the City’s recent success of the funded FY 2022 Community Project Funding Request for police worn body cameras and the FY 2023 submitted request for membrane softening drinking water upgrades.

Fiscal Impact:

Funding for this agreement is available in the Fiscal Year 2023 operating budget in account number 001.110102.51200.531490.000000.000.000.
