The second week in May is designated as Lung Cancer Action Week. Lung Cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths, accounting for approximately 1.8 million deaths annually.
The proclamation will be accepted by Michael Garcia, an ambassador for the Lung Cancer Association.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this proclamation will not fiscally impact the City.
