Explanation:
Alzheimer’s disease, a progressive neurodegenerative brain disorder, tragically robs individuals of their memories and leads to progressive mental and physical impairments. Alzheimer’s is the seventh leading cause of death in America.
Alzheimer’s disease is the only cause of death among the top ten causes of death in America that cannot be prevented, cured or even slowed.
The proclamation will be accepted by John Strader, Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of the SE Florida Alzheimer’s Association.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this Presentation will not fiscally impact the City.
