Explanation:
The Department of Public Utilities ("Department") operates in a dynamic environment that requires engineering support services on an as-needed basis. Among many on-going initiatives and projects, the Department is actively pursuing grant funding from various agencies to support its infrastructure improvements. The Department needs engineering and technical assistance to strategically identify and draft prospective grant applications that best suit the Department's needs and goals.

Currently, the Department is considering grant opportunities being offered by FEMA Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities Program, Rebuild Florida Program, CDBG-MIT Program, Florida Department of Environmental Protection Water Protection Grant, FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, Resilient Florida Grant, 319(h) Nonpoint Source Funding Grant, South Florida Water Management District Alternative Water Supply Program, DEO Community Planning Technical Assistance Grant and other grants that may become available in the future.

Other needed engineering support services include addressing regulatory compliance activities, permit applications, conceptual planning as well as support for water, wastewater, stormwater, and reuse water projects. Currently, engineering services are needed for the following and other similar tasks and issues on and an as-needed basis:
