Explanation:
On July 9th, 2015 Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) approved funding for the following projects in the Complete Streets and other Localized Initiatives Program (CSLIP):

* North 22nd/SW12th Avenue from Sheridan Street to Stirling Road Improvement Project (Joint project between Hollywood and Dania Beach)
o On November 7, 2018, the City Commission approved Resolution R-2018-362, supporting this CSLIP application.
* Sheridan Park and Hollywood Acres Sidewalks and ADA Compliance Project
o On November 1, 2017, the City Commission approved Resolution R-2017-323, supporting this CSLIP application.

Historically on CSLIP projects, Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) would complete and fund the design, construction and construction engineering and inspection (CEI) of the project, and the municipalities would only be responsible for the non-CSLIP eligible items referenced as "contingency". These items could include any number of improvements such as landscape and irrigation or underground utility adjustments etc.

Recently FDOT has changed their policy and is transitioning into only funding the construction of CSLIP projects. Concurrently, they are requiring the cities to utilize the "Local Agency Program" (LAP) to administer and complete the design and CEI phases of these projects, as well as funding the "contingency" as before. These costs are summarized in the Exhibit A of the proposed Resolution.
