Staff Recommends: Approval of the attached Resolution.

 

 

Explanation:

The Police Department is requesting authorization to expend Federal Law Enforcement Forfeiture Funds in the amount of $350,000.00.  The planned costs are training and associated travel for law enforcement officers, as well as the acquisition of law enforcement equipment.  The planned purchases include firearms and ammunition. 

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

The Law Enforcement Forfeiture Fund received sufficient funding in prior years to allocate the requested $350,000.00.  Funding will be made available in Fiscal Year 2026 Operating Budget as detailed in Exhibit 1, subject to the approval of this resolution.
