Explanation:

The City and the Fraternal Order of Police, Hollywood Lodge, 24 (“FOP”), are parties to a Collective Bargaining Agreement (“CBA”) for the period of October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2028.

The City and FOP negotiated a reduction in the number of pay grades in the Agreement, which resulted in the loss of the compounded pay progression previously associated with those steps.

The parties have negotiated the attached MOU to revise the pay charts in the CBA by adding an additional step for employees who had reached Step L-17 prior to October 1, 2025, and who did not receive a full 4% wage increase due to the elimination of compounded pay progression.

Fiscal Impact:

A portion of the funding for this MOU is available in the FY2026 Operating Budget and will be budgeted in subsequent fiscal years’ operating budgets subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission.
