Explanation:

The City of Hollywood sanitary sewer system is comprised of over 250 miles of gravity sewer pipes (ranging from 6-inch to 72-inch in diameter), 4,518 sewer manholes and 84 lift stations.

The Department of Public Utilities, Underground Utilities Division, is tasked with the overall evaluation, maintenance and repair of the gravity pipelines and the sewer manholes.

The Underground Utilities Division currently owns two (2) sanitary sewer inspection systems which were purchased in 1995 and 2002.

The sanitary sewer inspection system purchased in 1995 has become obsolete, antiquated and has surpassed its useful life expectancy due to age and must be replaced to guarantee the continuation of services and maintenance of the City's sanitary sewer system.

The requested equipment was competitively solicited by the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA), Request for Proposal (RFP) number 022014, and subsequently awarded to Envirosight for sewer vacuum, hydro-excavation, and/or street sweeper equipment with related accessories and supplies.

Environmental Products of Florida is the exclusive authorized dealer of the requested equipment for Envirosight in the state of Florida.
