Explanation:
On September 1, 2021, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. R-2021-208, approving Continuing Services Agreements with several firms to provide Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) services, including Carnahan, Proctor and Cross, Inc. ("CPC").

The Department of Design and Construction Management ("DCM") has engaged CPC to provide CEI services for three signage projects being implemented concurrently, the Citywide Gateway and Neighborhood Signage Project (the "GOB Signage Project"), the Beach Community Redevelopment Agency Signage Project (the "BCRA Signage Project"), and the Downtown Community Redevelopment Agency Signage Project (the "DCRA Signage Project").

To promote cost efficiency, consistency, and streamlined project management, CEI services for all three projects are being consolidated into a single contract. This approach ensures consistent field inspections and quality assurance across approximately 109 new signs citywide.

The Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") will provide funding to the City in the amount of $63,257.04 pursuant to an Interlocal Agreement to fund a portion of the cost associated with CEI services for the BCRA and DCRA signage components.

The proposed Interlocal Agreement sets forth the terms under which the City and CRA will collaborate and share costs for the CEI services, serving a public purpose by supporting the successful delivery and oversight of public infrastructure improvements.
