Explanation:

The CRA Board directed staff to work with FDOT to identify locations along the State Road A1A corridor between Johnson Street and Sheridan Street for mid-block pedestrian crossings.

CRA and City of Hollywood Engineering Department staff procured the services of a traffic engineering consultant to perform a comprehensive pedestrian crossing study to identify locations that meet the Florida Department of Transportation’s justification criteria, engineering regulations, and requirements for the provision of mid-block pedestrian crossings.

Marlin Engineering, Inc. coordinated its findings and received input from the City of Hollywood Police and Fire Departments, as well as feedback from the Florida Department of Transportation.

Fiscal Impact:

This presentation will not fiscally impact the CRA.
