Explanation:
The Fire Rescue and Beach Safety Department requires the purchase of a triple combination Impel custom pumper truck to replace an older model that has been in the department for several years and is no longer meeting the operational needs of the department.
The Insurance Services Organization (ISO) recommends the Department to maintain a minimum of two (2) NFPA compliant pumpers in order to meet the NFPA Standard 1901 needed for firefighting vehicles.
On February 2, 2015, the Florida Sheriffs Association awarded Bid Number 15-11-0116 for the purchase of a Fire Rescue Vehicles and Other Fleet Equipment and the Fire Pumper was awarded to Ten-8 Fire Equipment, Inc., the lowest responsible bidder.
Ten-8 Fire Equipment, Inc has agreed to provide the requested pumper truck to the City, as listed in the Florida Sheriffs Association Contract Bid Number 15-11-0116, under the same pricing, terms and conditions.
