Explanation:
The Department of Public Works desires to enter into multiple Emergency Debris Removal Service agreements for maintaining and keeping the City clear of any obstacles and debris during a variety of emergency situations.
The Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining a clean and clear area for our workers and first responders to be able to respond to all emergency situations. This includes clearing and removing large-scale debris, separation, staging, and disposal, as well as demolition work and demolition work removal. It is also responsible for handling and removal of hazardous waste, tree trimming, tree bracing, and removal, as well as marine salvage operations and beach and sand removal from streets, roads, and right of ways.
The Department of Public Works would like to retain multiple Agreements with Emergency Debris Removal firms to provide Citywide Emergency Debris Removal Services.
On March 16, 2023, the Department of Public Works and the Office of Procurement and Contract Compliance issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) RFP-072-23-OT for the project of Emergency Debris Removal Services and the RFP was advertised on OpenGov.
On April 27, RFP-072-23-OT was closed and a total of seven proposals were received:
1. DRC Emergency Services, LLC
2. D&J Enterprises, Inc.
3. TFR Enterprises, Inc.
4. Ceres Environmental Services, Inc.
5. Southern Disaster Recovery
6. AshBritt, Inc.
7. CTC Disaster Response, Inc.
