Explanation:
The City of Hollywood has partnered with CareerSource Broward (“CSBD”), previously Workforce One Employment Solutions, since 2009, to host summer work experience for economically disadvantaged youths. The agreement requires the City to indemnify CSBD which only the City Commission can approve. The previous agreement expired on September 30, 2022. Upon approval and execution, the attached agreement will expire on September 30, 2026.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this resolution will not fiscally impact the City as the City serves as the worksites for these youths, but CBSD pays their wages and workers compensation coverage.
