Explanation:
On October 19, 2011, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2011-269 which authorized the appropriate City Officials to negotiate and execute Agreement on a rotating basis with the three (3) highest ranked firms, Gibbs Land Surveyors, Biscayne Engineering Company, Inc., and Craven Thompson and Associates, Inc., for professional surveying and mapping services. The initial term of the agreements was for three (3) years with the right to renew the agreements for two (2) subsequent one-year terms based on satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.
On February 4, 2015, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2015-023 which authorized the appropriate City Officials to extend the agreement for the first one (1) year renewal term.
The first one (1) year renewal agreement will expire on December 22, 2015 and the City desires to renew these agreements.
City staff has review the past performance of the three (3) ranked firms, all performed satisfactorily and have agreed to renew their agreement for the second subsequent one- year renewal period under the same terms and conditions. City has the need for professional surveying services for the upcoming alleys reconstruction projects and other not yet identified, on-demand, projects that requires professional surveying and mapping services such as design surveys, construction layouts, boundary surveys and preparation of sketches and legal descriptions.
